Barcode:
The barcode is featured on the back of the album digipak and with like most products it is there for scanning purposes.

Song names and Song length:
On the back of most album digipaks, song names and song lengths are featured on the back, so people can see which songs feature on this album, because the audience might just be buying this album just because they like two of there songs, so having the song names on the back notifies them.

Record company logo:
The records company logo is usually on the spine and on the back of the album digipak this is because the company is promoting itself and because the artist releasing the album is signed for them they technically own it so it is also there to show it is there's.

Color choices

Color Choices:

Whilst doing my final draft I tried out different color schemes such as monochromatic and triadic etc... I did this to test what kind of color scheme I am going to use on my final piece and which looks better in a digital copy instead of a rough drawn copy, by doing this I have learned a lot about what color scheme to use and what looks good and what doesn't.

(Monochromatic color scheme)

Overall I like the look of this piece as it is simple but effective and works with the piece I want to create, I like how the blue contrasts against the white/gray background and I think the shades of blue work well together.

(Complimentary color scheme)

Overall I don't think this color scheme works with this piece as it doesn't fit with the album cover that I want to create also I think the colors are chose were a bit to dull so maybe if I did use this color scheme I would change the colors.

(Analogous color scheme)

Overall I am pleased with how this color scheme has come out as it keeps the page simple but smart, I went for the blue shade as I believe this is the best color for my piece and I wanted to see what it looked like with all the shades of blue on it.

(Triadic color scheme)

Overall I don't think this color scheme would work with my final piece as it is just makes the page look to busy and un professional also I don't like how the back page looks with the colors.

Mid Point Drafting

Mid Point Drafting:

This is my Mid-point draft for this unit, compared to my last draft this one has had a dramatic change, the reason I made these changes is I wanted my album cover to suit the genre of music it was trying to sell which is 'Rap' music and this genre usually contains lots of jewelry and I noticed when looking at my pins that the album covers mainly contain images of the artists face so I took this into consideration and after making these changes this is what I have developed, overall I am happy with how this mid-point draft looks and I am going to continue in this direction and advance this piece into my final piece.

To create this mid-point draft I used photoshop and a graphics tablet which allows me to draw easier digitally it also allows me to use pressure sensitivity which means that I can create thicker and thinner lines the harder I press on the pad and this allows me to create for free flowing images with more structure.
